Teacher Tech Talk at the TeachersWhoTech workshop space in Interbay - October 2016

Teacher Tech Talk at the TeachersWhoTech workshop space in Interbay - October 2016

This professional development workshop is an opportunity for educators from all subjects to learn and recognize that STEAM Project-Based Learning (PBL) is for everyone. This workshop would equip educators with the necessary resource and tools in order to apply project-based learning in their classrooms using a multi-disciplinary approach. We will walk through lesson plan integration and curriculum design models to reshape how projects are used to enhance learning, not to supplement it.

In this professional development, teachers will use a variety of tools and materials to create their own projects. In the morning, they will learn about STEAM, Project-Based Learning, Design Thinking, and Curriculum Alignment. In the afternoon, teachers will play while building or destroying tech artifacts. Everyday they will have time to collaborate with other teachers to create a project that fits their students and subjects as well as adding more knowledge that is integrated from at least one different subject from theirs (multi-disciplinary approach).
